We are a rural, community, mission church affiliated with the Episcopal Diocese of Olympia, in Western Washington. Members of our congregation are of many faiths who live in our community which is flanked by inlets of south Puget Sound. See the map below. |
Our somewhat isolated geographic location outside of Olympia, Washington, is supportive of an ecumenical Christian community . We enjoy and benefit from a rich diversity of faith experiences, traditions and fellowship. The land for St. Christopher's was donated by Joy Gosk Sanders, and the church was built by congregation and community members in 1972. October 1997, marked the 25th anniversary of the dedication of our sanctuary. |

Directions & Map to St. Christopher's We are located at 3320 79th Avenue NW, off Steamboat Island Road, just outside of Olympia, Washington. Enter your address in the box to the right to see a map with specific directions to find us. From Interstate 5, take Exit 104 for access to Highway 101 North. As you leave the city limits of Olympia and cross the lower Puget Sound estuary of Mud Bay, stay to the right and at the "Y" interchange, follow Highway 101 to the right toward Shelton. About 2 miles past the interchange, exit at Steamboat Island Road. The exit is well marked. After you exit and turn right, there will be a small strip shopping center directly in front of you. Go left, and follow the road parallel to the highway, keeping the gas station and tavern on your right. At the stop sign, turn right on Steamboat Island Road. |
